Memorial Ceremony Takes Place

Today is the 15th anniversary of the October 27, 1999 crime. The RA NA President Galust Sahakyan, the RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, the RA Vice Presidents Hermine Naghdalyan, Eduard Sharmazanov, the deputies, the close relatives of the deceased state figures, the representatives of the NA Staff and the journalists accredited in the parliament paid their tribute to the memory of the October 27 crime victims. Those present laid flowers at the monument perpetuating the memory of the National Hero Karen Demirchyan, the RA National Hero Vazgen Sargsyan, Yuri Bakhshyan, Armenak Armenakyan, Ruben Miroyan, Mikayel Kotanyan, Henrik Abrahamyan and Leonard Petrosyan.

During the talk with the journalists the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan has said that the crime occurred in the parliament in 1999 has never become a past for him, on the contrary, that sorrow is always with him. The NA President has noted that the victims of the crime had big ideas and goals, and in their realization he considers himself responsible.

Then the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan, the RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan had been to Yerevan Komitas Pantheon and Yerablur Pantheon, paid their respects to the memory of the RA National Heroes Karen Demirchyan and Vazgen Sargsyan, who had fallen victims of October 27 crime.
